چکیده

Background: Rice (Oryza sativa L.) is the major cereal crop grown in India. plays a pivotal role socio-cultural life of people Assam. The main objective this study to investigate influence micro climatic indices relation growth and yield upland rice varieties with different dates sowing Methods: A field experiment was carried out at Instructional cum Research Farm, Assam Agricultural University, Jorhat during autumn season 2017. consisted four micro-climatic regimes (M) along (V). Result: results revealed that viz., canopy temperature, growing degree days, soil moisture content, light intensity, depth ground water table associated 1st April sown recorded positive effect on parameters terms plant height, leaf area index, number filled grains per panicle, test weight, harvest index grain (3004 kg/ha), followed by micro-climate 16th March crop. Among evaluated, CR-Dhan 203 highest 2860 kg/ha significantly superior other except Inglongkiri.

Evaluation of Some Morphophysiological Traits and Growth Indices of Rice (Oryza sativa L.) in Irrigation Methods

In order to investigate the analysis of growth indices and morphophysiological traits of rice, an experiment in the form of statistical split plots design with three levels of irrigation and six foliar application with three replications was conducted at Deputy of Rice Research Institute (Mazandaran- Amol) in 2017. By measuring the total dry weight and leaf area six times during rice growth, th...

Effect of arsenic on photosynthesis, growth and yield of five widely cultivated rice (Oryza sativa L.) varieties in Bangladesh.

A glass house experiment was conducted to investigate the effect of soil arsenic on photosynthetic pigments, chlorophyll-a and -b, and their correlations with rice yield and growth. The experiment was designed with three replications of six arsenic treatments viz. control, 10, 20, 30, 60, 90 mg of As kg(-1) soil. Arsenic concentration in initial soil, to which the above mentioned concentrations...

Effects of Seeding Time and Weed Control Methods in Direct Seeded Rice (oryza Sativa L.)

Field experiments were conducted during the 2 year period from 2008 and 2009 to determine the effects of three seeding dates and seven weed control methods in DSR. The results suggested that seeding in the first week of July reduced weed density and biomass, increased kernel weight, leaf area index, and kernel yield compared to seeding rice in the first week of July. Amongst weed control method...

Molecular Mapping of QTLs Associated with Lodging Resistance in Dry Direct-Seeded Rice (Oryza sativa L.)

Dry direct-seeded rice (DSR) is an alternative crop establishment method with less water and labor requirement through mechanization. It provides better opportunities for a second crop during the cropping season and therefore, a feasible alternative system to transplanted lowland rice. However, lodging is one of the major constraints in attaining high yield in DSR. Identification of QTLs for lo...
